SUN and INTEL Cooperate to develop Technology Prosesor X86

Monday (22/01) then, SUN Microsystems and Intel announce their alliance. Cooperation aim to expand involvement SUN with INTEL in develop technology X86, and optimize use Solaris in platform INTEL.

Although in this time there are around 70 user percents Solaris that run their operating system in base platform INTEL, CEO SUN, Jonathan Schwartz, say that cooperation between SUN and INTEL more tighten second connection companies. INTEL agree to promoting SOLARIS, and as repayment, SUN will build a servers complete front Xeon, same like workstation.

Later, second vendor will equate their product around upgrade chip and their Operating System. SUN want so that Solaris genuinely fit walk in server Xeon. as information, at year 2003, SUN introduce Server X86 based on prosesor product Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). SUN also face the customer demand to get server x86 that walk in platform INTEL.
